Kunal is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Institutions practice. He leads BCG’s payments work in the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium and is a member of the firm’s Payments and Transaction Banking management team. He’s also the global lead for the Networks and Market Infrastructure segment.

Schemes: experience across global and domestic scheme landscape, product launches and GTM support, regulatory driven initiatives focused on enabling compliance and fostering innovation
Merchant acquiring: market proposition launches, unified commerce, ecomm enablement and business model redesigns, SME focused ecosystem development, M&A
Issuers: outcomes driven payments business strategy (divestment / investment), cobrand partnerships support, business launches and product strategy
Regulation: PSD2, Open Banking (Head of Policy (on Secondment) for OBIE UK from May 2017 – April 2018) and other payments focused regulatory initiatives
He has extensive experience working on payments topics with banks, core payments providers (schemes, acquirers, PSPs), and non-banks (regulators, merchants, fintechs).
Prior to joining BCG, Kunal was the co-lead of Oliver Wyman’s European Payments practice. Kunal has attended Executive Leadership and Management programmes at The Wharton School and INSEAD. He holds an MSc in Management from Warwick Business School and studied Electrical Engineering degree for his undergrad.
